Roger Dodger is certainly a good name for this lucky pup who truly dodged certain death when someone found him along the side of the road starving and took him to a vet in town. Rarely do vets go out on a limb for dogs like this, but this vet did. However, the Memorial weekend was approaching and there would be no kennel space left for him so they asked if we might take him.

We were so lucky to find a foster for him and she has done an amazing job of nursing him back to health. As a result of the malnutrition (and being eaten alive by fleas), he had a horrible skin condition that required a daily bath and some special care, but he is looking and feeling so much better now.

Surprisingly, he adopted to apartment life almost instantly and has been a great houseguest. He is also good with other dogs. Now Roger is ready for his forever home and we are hoping his life will continue to get better and better. If you are interested in adopting Roger, you can fill out an application at .
