Adoptable Large Spayed/NeuteredUp-to-date with routine shotshousetrained

Yeller has been moved to the second phase of his training. Now Ranger Dog Training has done their work socializing him, he has been moved to another trainer who has been working on more socialization and seeing how he does in a home setting. He’s done very well and is having a wonderful time running and playing with his new friend Onyx, another ALR dog in training at Clever Canidae. He is a wonderfully joyful dog now that he feels safe and loved and as long as someone can go slow with him, he will adapt and be a wonderful companion.

Yeller is a 3 year old yellow lab that the shelter was going to euthanize because he was cage aggressive. They sent a video and it was heartbreaking to watch the employee backing the dog into the corner and poking him with a catch pole, which is what they use to drag them out of the kennel. We sent a trainer to assess him and within 5 minutes of talking to the dog, he was able to leash him up and walk right out with him. He’s had no issues since then and is a really nice dog, but he will need a confident owner and we won’t consider anyone with kids based on his history at the shelter. He is crate trained and housetrained. If you would like to foster or adopt him, please visit out website at and complete an application. Questions? Email us at
