Duke

Adopted Medium Spayed/NeuteredUp-to-date with routine shotshousetrained

More form the Foster!

Update on Duke: Good off a leash, will explore up to 50 ft away from you, but comes to his name and checks back in with you frequently to make sure you’re in the same spot. House-trained, usually calm, knows “sit” now, likes to get on the couch.

FROM THE FOSTER:

Duke is a sweetheart! He wants to please you and listens really well. Don’t think he has been trained much at all (doesn’t know sit or anything), but is very teachable. He knows to go scratch the door when he wants to go out and comes to his name. We haven’t really seen him interact with other animals much. On walks he pretty much ignores other dogs and he hasn’t been around a cat.
He is perfectly fine in a crate, but probably doesn’t even need to be left in one.
He is definitely a catch!

Duke is a 1-2 year old handsome chocolate lab that comes to us from a
shelter way down south. While he looks very close to purebred, someone
decided he would look better without a tail…I guess that’s less of a
liability, as you know what a lab’s happy tail can do. we just got him in a
foster home so update is coming. If you’re interested in adopting Duke,, please email us at info@atlantalabrescue.com
