FROM THE VOLUNTEER

Wrigley is definitely a eye catcher and ONE COOL DOG! We had quite a few people at the river today stop and say Hello to us and Wrigley happily greeted all of them. We even had some bikes go by and he was not startled by them at all and he did not mind other dogs.

Wrigley is a strong big boy who enjoyed the river thoroughly and I think he likes water also. His favorite thing besides saying Hello to all the people was finding the squirrels and somehow he was thinking he would catch them. He definitely likes to chase squirrels and was very alert when he saw one. The best thing for Wrigley would be somebody who has some strength to hang with this boy! He was not a big puller on the leash except when he saw a squirrel….some leash training would be good. Awesome dog overall!!

ORIGINAL POST:

Recently, we were in a shelter to get a lab/golden mix that the volunteers had asked us to take. As we were leaving the shelter, we saw this beautiful face staring through the chainlink. He looked like a lab, but had the most beautiful markings. He sat quietly watching us go by. He had been there since February so he was long past thinking anyone was coming for him…

Meet Wrigley, a 3 year old, 80 pound lab mix that is made it out of the shelter and into ALR. He is great in playgroups and calm and tidy in his room and all he needs now is a home. If you would like to foster or adopt Wrigley, please go to www.atlantalabrescue.com
