FROM THE FOSTER

He’s a good one so far, easy to have around, very well behaved in the house, and loves people and snuggles. Super affectionate with all people, gets excited to go for car rides. Likes walks, doesn’t pull. Met two dogs on leash today and exchanged polite greetings (we closely supervised), but I do think he would prefer to be only dog in a house. He doesn’t seem to know commands, but he takes correction fine. He loves to snuggle, was sitting in my lap on the floor minutes after he arrived and I think he’s remarkably calm for his age. He seems curious and happy and hasn’t shown any signs of stress since he’s been with us.

We haven’t heard him bark yet. Seems like he is probably a quieter dog. He doesn’t beg and takes a nap while we are eating.

He would benefit from learning commands for sure, especially “wait”, he wants to run out the door whenever we come and go. He’s super sweet and super cute. Here’s a photo of him from today.

ORIGINAL POST:

Decker is a 1 year old, 55 pound lab mix that was too cute to leave behind at the shelter. His ears are adorable as one pops up and one falls down and his personality is just as cute. He loves people and is great with other dogs. He’s very tidy in his room and night and for a young dog, is calm.
