FROM THE FOSTER:

Hello and *woof woof* from Kim and Gladdie! We had a great first night getting acquainted, exploring the house, and playing with her new toy. She is an exceptional little doggy…..so well behaved! Gladdie sits on command, patiently waits for her food, and does not jump on the furniture, unless given permission. She snuggled up next to me on the couch, while we watched the Braves game, and despite everything she’s been through; she’s really starting to let her frisky, silly, inner puppy shine through. She is such a sweet, loving little girl; the quintessential companion!

ORIGINAL POST:

Gladdie is a 1-2 year old black lab mix that was found on the side of the road in south GA. It was obvious that she had a litter of puppies, but Animal Control couldn’t find them anywhere. She was very upset and didn’t want to go with them, but had no choice. We had just taken another dog from that shelter and before we could get out of the door, they asked about Gladdie….how could we leave her?

She is a sweet dog, but needs a quiet and easy place where she can unwind. She is fearful as a result of the hard life she has had. We are hoping to find someone who will help he get past her sadness and fear and show her a wonderful new life. If that’s you, and you want to foster or adopt her, please go to www.atlantalabrescue.com to fill out an application.
