Highway

Labrador Retriever - Adult - Male
Adopted Medium Spayed/NeuteredUp-to-date with routine shotshousetrained

Highway is a 3-4 year old lab mix that came from a shelter in South Georgia. We didn’t know it at the time, but we soon realized that they named him Highway, because he had been hit by a car and had an injured hip.

X-rays showed that the impact had dislocated the hip and the injury had fused incorrectly on its own, creating painful arthritis. Highway is scheduled for orthopedic surgery to correct the problem. Obviously this will be costly, but it give him back full mobility and a better, pain-free quality of life. Through all of this, Highway has been an amazingly friendly and cooperative dog. He is Housetrained and great in playgroups and would be a wonderful addition to any home.

If you would like to foster or adopt Highway, he will be ready to go to a home later next week. Please go to www.atlantalabrescue.com to fill out an application.
