Joey is an 8 year old yellow lab mix weighing approximately 80lbs. He’s relatively short but long bodied and sturdy. He was a stray brought into the Douglas County Animal Shelter with bloody eyes due to a condition where the eyelids roll inward and rub against the eye. Despite probably being in pain most of his life, he is sweet and friendly.
He had double entropian eye surgery to correct the problem with the eyes. Since his surgery he has settled into his foster home where he enjoys sunbathing on the deck, going for walks, and gets super excited to go for rides! He is good with other dogs and doesn’t seem to mind cats. He is housebroken and would do best in a home with minimal stairs.
