Atlanta Lab Rescue & The Grey Muzzle Group

Atlanta Lab Rescue has exciting news to share. We were one of only 77 animal welfare groups in the US to receive a grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization that makes grants expressly for programs designed to improve the lives of at-risk senior dogs. This money will enable us to continue to rescue dogs like Oreo, Rusty, Hershey, Charlie, and many more older dogs that get passed over, many times, due to health issues. Our “pack” says THANK YOU to The Grey Muzzle Organization!

i am interested in Tazer if he will blend happily ever after with my four dogs. (2 female Australian Cattle Dogs, 1 female bull terrier, and 1 male chi) i am a retired college professor. we have a large 4 foot fenced dog yard connected to the house by a patio door. the dogs live inhouse with me and get regular vet care in W PA. if you think he might have a future home with us, please email me and i will fill in the appropriate forms.

Thank you for your interest in Tazer. We do not generally adopt out of state and he is a senior so we prefer to keep him local to Atlanta. We also do not provide transport out of state. Hopefully you can find another dog close to your home.
      Thank you.

I am in Florida. Do you transport?

    • Joanne Pecina says

Hello and thank you for your interest. We do not transport our dogs.
If approved, you would need to come to Atlanta.

I’ve read you do not adopt out of state and I understand that. We are in NC and can travel to pick up. Do you allow that?

    • Joanne Pecina says

Hello and thank you for your inquiry. Yes, you are most welcome to come to an adoption event, complete an application and talk to one of our coordinators. NC is fairly close and you would be required to transport if you are approved. Usually we can talk to your vet and get the approvals we require for placement.
      Thanks again!
